Soviet Magazine Red Field,issue number 26-27,1930. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Biweekly magazine. Constructivist cover has an original illustration done by S Sokolov. This issue's artwork includes photographs by Krasinsky for the article "Generation of Thirty Years Olds",photographs by N Petrov for the article "Art of Millions",illustrations by N Vysheslavtsev for the story "City of Enthusiasts. " Vysheslavtsev was a Soviet graphic artist,illustrator. He studied at the art studio of I. I. Mashkov (1906–1908) in Moscow,then in Italy and France. Performed portraits,landscapes,designed and illustrated books. The work of N N Vysheslavtsev is represented in the State Tretyakov Gallery,State Literary Museum. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK". Unbound copy from a yearly subscription volume. Acceptable condition. Frayed spine,some rubbings. The front cover is detached and has tears on margins,the back cover is missing. 20 pages.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
