The World Revolution Literature Literatur der Weltrevolution #4 1931
The World Revolution Literature was the only magazine in the USSR that comprehensively covered the cultural life of the West and the East,dedicated to the international proletarian and revolutionary literature and art. The title page is decorated with the slogan “Workers of all countries,unite!” The main purpose of the magazine was to give the workers of the whole world,"instead of foreign and hostile literature,the literature of the world revolution." The “revolutionism” of the magazine was emphasized by a new design with characteristic constructivist fonts and layout. Illustrations by Louis Lozowick,Russian-American painter and printmaker. He is recognized as an Art Deco and Precisionist artist,and mainly produced streamline,urban-inspired monochromatic lithographs in a career that spanned 50 years. Acceptable condition. Frayed spine,tears on the edges,rubbings. Pencil markings on the front page and the back cover. Pages are in good condition. Published by GOSIZDAT in M0scow,1931.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
