A first edition volume 'Nijinsky' which describes the talent and achievements of the Russian dancer Nijinsky. Articles inside are written by: C van Vechten,E Denby,R Edmond Jones,S Young,H T Parker and M Hartley,the volume is edited by Paul Magriel and published by Henry Holt and Company in 1946. Articles include: 'The Russian Ballet and Nijinsky' and 'The Drawings of Nijinsky'. List of some photographs inside: Nijinsky in Petrouchka in 1911; in 1900; in the uniform of the Imperial Russian Ballet School; in Eunice,St Petersburg in 1907; in Le Pavillon d'Armide,St Petersburg,1907; in Giselle in Paris,1911; in Carnaval in Paris,1910; in Les Orientales in Paris,1911; and many more. Fair condition,paper cover badly damaged and fraying in many places. Underneath,hard back cover is still in good condition. Inside,the pages are also in good condition,some stains on the top of the front page and outer edges of pages. 81 pages.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
