Original vintage magazine The Programmes of Academic State Theatres #56 1926 October (Programmy Gos. Akademicheskih Teatrov). Soviet constructivist weekly periodical on theatre,includes articles on notable plays and actors and directors. The cover features a photo of V.V. Krieger (1895-1978),a theatrical figure,ballerina,and ballet critic. Founder and artistic director of the troupe "Moscow Artistic Ballet". This issue includes articles about empty halls at theatre performances; plays in the Jewish State Studio; the fifth concert season of the Persimfans orchestra,which existed in Moscow from 1922 to 1932. Persimfans was the first symphony orchestra in the history of academic music without a conductor; the role of Valentina Kudryavtseva in Swan Lake; 150th anniversary of Denis Diderot's book the Paradox of the Actor; new films and theatrical premieres,illustrated by photos and drawings and several advertising pages. Published by the Central Management Department of State Academic Theaters,Printed by publishing house Krasny Pechatnik,Moscow,with a run of copies 5 000. 26 pages. Good condition,browning and some stain on the cover and some pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
