Prozhektor # 50 (168),Soviet illustrated literary and satirical magazine,from 9 December 1928. Prozhektor was published in Moscow as a supplement to the newspaper Pravda in 1923-1935. This issue includes photos from the third session of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee 13th session; an article about Russian author,philosopher,and founder of Russian Nihilism Cherneyshevsky on the 100th anniversary of his birth; an article about an arctic observatory; a cartoon from Yuliy Ganf about communists standing trial in Japanese courts; photos of the Congress of Friends of the USSR,an Australian dock-workers strike,American businessmen including Thomas Edison at a ball in the Astor hotel in New York,an equestrian statue of William 3rd in Dublin after it was bombed in 1928. Also includes an interestnig range of adverts. Fair condition,staining,foxing,tears,creasing. An error in the page cutting means some pages are still joined along the top edge.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
