Soviet Magazine Red Field,issue number 14,1st April 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A painting by I Chashnikov of ‘Partisans in Siberia’ on the front cover,various advertisements on the back cover. This edition includes a story ‘Grave Memorials’ by B Pilnyak,and a double spread feature on M N Yermolova,while another article is entitled ‘The Eyes of America’. List of some artwork inside: a portrait of D Furmanov by S V Malyutin; a painting ‘The Death of a Commissar’ by K Petrov-Vodkin; another painting ‘Ferrangian partisans’; cartoon of the writer M Zoshenko. Fair condition,cuts and wear along the spine,faint stamp mark on the back cover,unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume,magazine has been cropped on the bottom edge,description at bottom of front cover partially obscured. 20 pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
