Original vintage Soviet Magazine Krasnaya Niva / Red Field,issue number 50,December 1929. Krasnaya Niva was a biweekly magazine,first published by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union in 1922. The cover features an illustration "Hunter Svan (Upper Svaneti)" by Eugene Lansere,a Russian graphic artist,painter,sculptor,mosaicist,and illustrator,associated stylistically with Mir iskusstva. This issue features articles about The Turkestan–Siberian Railway,a 1,520 mm broad gauge railway that connects Central Asia with Siberia,built in 1927-1930s; the 2nd session of All-Russian Central Executive Committee; foreign news; Igarka,a timber-exporting port located 163 kilometers (101 mi) north of the Arctic Circle; Erich Maria Remarque was a German-born novelist; advertising and others. Published by Izvestiya,published by Anatoly Lunacharsky,a Russian Marxist revolutionary and the first Bolshevik Soviet People's Commissar,24 pages. Fair condition,rusted staples,tears on the spine and some pages,stain,minor foxing.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
