Social Kunst #6 1931
Social Kunst is a magazine focusing on graphic design. Issue №6 follows the progress of graphic design and art in USSR in the period of 1905-1931,talking about work of many notable Soviet artists,such as V. Deni,Russian satirist,cartoonist and poster artist. Deni was one of the major agitprop poster artists of the Bolshevist period; Y. Annenkov,Russian artist mostly known for his book illustrations and portraits. He also worked for theatre and cinema. A member of Mir Iskusstva. And D. Moor, Russian Soviet artist,graphic artist,one of the founders of the Soviet political poster,Honoured Artist of the RSFSR. As well as V. Mayakovsky,one the most famous Soviet poet and artist; S. Lebedev,Russian and Soviet painter,graphic artist,recognised master of poster,book and magazine illustration,founder of the Leningrad school of book graphics. People's Artist of the RSFSR. Stenberg Brothers,one of the most notable Soviet constructivist artists and graphic designers of the early 20th century. They were know for innovative use of perspective,geometry,typography and colour to convey a dynamic sense of movement and energetic depth. Published by Mondes Forlag. Poor condition,front dust cover is detached,small pencil handwriting on the first page and small pen remark on the bottom of the back cover. Rubbings,staining,minor tears and loss of materials on the dust cover. Pages and illustrations are in good condition.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
