Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #12 March 1929. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The front and back covers feature stills from the film Janki guriashi or Revolt in Guria,a Soviet black-and-white silent film of 1928 directed by Alexander Tsutsunava,filmed at the studio of the State Film Industry of Georgia. The issue includes the articles about the film For the Harvest directed by Kapalin; the film New Babylon, a 1929 silent historical drama film written and directed by Grigori Kozintsev and Leonid Trauberg; the film Tungus from Khanychar; The Factory of the Eccentric Actor (FEKS) that was founded in 1921 in Petrograd by Grigori Kozintsev and Leonid Trauberg and combined the training of actors with collective artistic production in theatre and film; The Ghost That Never Returns,a 1930 Soviet made part-sound drama film. What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
