Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #22 June 1926. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The front cover features a photograph of the actress I. Volodko in the role of Natalia Goncharova in the film The Poet and the Tsar (Poet i tsar),a 1927 Soviet silent biopic film directed by Vladimir Gardin and Yevgeni Chervyakov; the back cover features a photograph of Emil Jannings,a German actor,popular in the 1920s in Hollywood,in the role of Harun al-Rashid in the film Waxworks (Das Wachsfigurenkabinett),a 1924 German silent anthology film directed by Paul Leni. The issue includes articles about the film Mabul,1927 Israeli drama film based on Sholom Aleichem's story "Bloody Stream"; film The Gold Rush is a 1925 American silent comedy film written,produced,and directed by Charlie Chaplin; the film Borba Gigantov,a Soviet drama film directed by Viktor Turin; photographic portrait of John Leslie Coogan,an American actor and comedian who began his film career as a child actor in silent films; about actors job by Sessue Hayakawa,a Japanese actor and a matinée idol. He was one of the most popular stars in Hollywood during the silent film era of the 1910s. 15 pages. Poor condition,the spine and pages are loose,minor tears stain,browning.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
