Issue #10 of СССР на стройке / SSSR Na Stroika / USSR in Construction,published 1938. USSR in Construction was a publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR,published in Russian,French,English,Spanish and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. The issue is devoted to Marine Komsomols,and features photos from Mikhail Prekhner. Photos show members of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (Komsomol) on boats,at sea,on warships,in navy uniforms,and practising drills,and there is a good collection of photos of warships,engine rooms,ship radio operators,and men preparing the ship's weapons. The layout is designed by S Telingater,and the translation is by Leon Sobolev. The cover shows a great photo of a smiling Marine Komsomol member in a sailor's uniform smiling,with a war ship in the background. Poor condition,foxing,staining,creasing,tears,minor paper skimming on front cover,paper losses on back cover. Inner pages are in fair condition.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
