A volume 'I Photograph Russia' by James E Abbe,published by Robert M McBride and Company,printed in 1934 in the USA,first edition. A Communist-sympathetic portrayal of the USSR through commenting on his own photographs Abbe shows his audience a country which was hidden from most of the world. It comprises of 29 chapters,each with names such as 'Between Two Worlds','Socialism All Built' and 'Red Aristocracy'. Photographs appear continuously throughout the book (there are 80 in total) and highlight historical,cultural and social events. Excellent condition,hardcover with strong spine. On the inside cover is a neat label stipulating its first owner in 1934. A small stamp on the last page. 324 pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
