Bolshevik press is a monthly magazine dedicated to issues of printing and publishing in USSR. Focusing on the progress Soviet publishing had archived in 20 years,overview of recent international exhibition on Paris,publishing crises of bourgeois journalism,article on V. Mayakovsky' s work. This issue was illustrated by D Moor, Russian Soviet artist,graphic artist,one of the founders of the Soviet political poster,Honoured Artist of the RSFSR; V Mayakovsky,one the most famous Soviet poet and artist; Kukryniksy,notable collective of three caricaturists/cartoonists in the USSR with a recognisable style; B. Efimov,Soviet political cartoonist best known for his critical political caricatures of Adolf Hitler and other Nazis produced before and during the Second World War,and was the chief illustrator of the newspaper Izvestia; Deni,Russian satirist,cartoonist and poster artist. Deni was one of the major agitprop poster artists of the Bolshevist period. published by "Pravda" publishing house,Moscow,25 850 copies. Fair condition,loss of material on the spine,creases and tears on the margins,pencil handwriting on the backcover. 79 pages.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
