English language version of Issue #7 of USSR in Construction, 1933. USSR in Construction was a monthly constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This issue deals with the Makstroi, a construction organisation, and Luganstroi. A double page spread is devoted to portraits of Ordzhonikidze and the directors and chief engineers of Makstroi. Other pages show photos of the Makeievka works, featuring cranes, chimneys, furnaces and the workshops. A foldout pages shows a timeline of the blast-furnaces evolving and an interesting section is devoted to the locomotive assembling department, with photos of a train workshop. Good condition, creasing, tears.
