Moscow is a book published by State Art Publishers,1939. Colour illustrated endpapers. Soviet propaganda publication profusely illustrated with reproductions of photographs showing Moscow architecture & street scenery,Stalin and other Soviet officials,parades,citizens,workers,etc. It has two tipped-in fold-outs with artwork and photographs each at the rear of the book,printed on both sides as published. The motifs are images of "Moscow of the Past" in one,the other depicts "Buildings preserved by the Soviet Government for their historical value". Design of the book is attributed to Alexander Rodchenko,Russian artist, sculptor, photographer and graphic designer; one of the founders of constructivism and Russian design. The book is in very good condition,very light wear along edges and head and tail of spine. Tight copy with binding and interior is also in very good condition.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
