"Working Moscow" is the oldest city newspaper, published since July 18, 1918. The newspaper was focusing on the current affairs in Moscow. This issue dedicated to the death of Sergey Kirov, a prominent Russian revolutionary and a Soviet politician. He was a close, personal friend to Joseph Stalin, and his death in 1934 was used as a pretext to launch the Great Purge. On 1 December 1934, Kirov was shot and killed by a gunman at his offices in the Smolny Institute. This issue contains photographs of Kirov's funeral. Acceptable condition.
