Original vintage reference Listening to the Heart of Revolution: Art of the Early Years of October. The album created by Mikhail German, a Soviet and Russian writer, art historian, doctor of art criticism, and professor, featuring images of paintings, posters, sculptures, and sketches of the festive decoration of cities, created in the first years after The October Revolution. Includes about four hundred works by different artists such as Valentin Serov, Eugene Lanceray, Mstislav Dobuzhinsky, Ivan Bilibin, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, Boris Kustodiev, Nikolai Kupreyanov, Vladimir Kozlinsky, Vladimir Lebedev, Sergey Chekhonin, Dmitry Moor, Viktor Deni, Nikolai Kogout, Vera Mukhina, Vladimir Favorsky, Yury Annenkov, El Lissitzky, as well as the ideas of these artists about the art of that time. A large place is given to a political poster, in particular to ROSTA posters, a propagandistic medium of communication used in the Soviet Union, created mostly by Vladimir Mayakovsky and Mikhail Cheremnykh. Published by Aurora publishing house, Leningrad, 240 pages. Excellent condition.
