A photograph of Stalin in conversation with Soviet writer M Gorky and another person on the front cover, on the back cover it outlines the aims of the magazine and the sections inside. Inside of the from cover features designes for the House of Soviets. Inside there are articles on ‘The Proletariat Theatre’, ‘About Small Theatres’ and a ‘Short Study of the Theatre’. List of artwork inside: photographs from the plays ‘Wife’, ‘Blizzard’ and ‘Fiery Bridge’; the design for the curtain of ‘Guilty Without Blame’ by S. Sergeiev. Excellent condition, a small tear on both the front and back covers. 49 pages.
