A photograph of Erwin Piscator the German theatre director who moved to Moscow in 1931 on the front cover. Articles inside include ‘Routine Problems’ which recounts the Soviet journey over the past three years,and another feature ‘About Fellow Travellers’. List of artwork inside: a selection of photographs on ‘M Gorky and Theatre’ of his 1901 play ‘The Philistines’; photographic portraits from the productions of ‘Hamlet’,‘Eric the 14th’ and ‘A Cricket in the Stove’. Fair condition,pages 3-4 have been ripped out,the top edge of pages 5-6 and 7-8 are torn,part of an ink stamp on the top right corner of the back cover. 49 pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
