Monthly magazine on recent developments on theatre in the USSR. The front cover features a photograph of Romain Rolland, a French dramatist, novelist, essayist, and art historian; on the back cover there is a sketch by Isaak Rabinovich of costumes for the production of the play Till in Nemirovich-Danchenko musical theatre. The issue includes articles about a visit of Bernard Shaw in the USSR; a theatre discussion in Leningrad; the goals of the theatre; the creation of the play "Pervaja konnaja"; the work of the director and actor with caricatures by the Kukryniksy; about the artist Isaak Rabinovich and his sketches of theatrical costumes, accompanied by photographs. 33 pages.
