Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #2 January 1929. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The front and back cover feature stills from the film Under the vaults of the mosque, produced in Uzbekistan in 1926 and directed by Casimir Gertel. The issue includes the articles about the films Ukhaby by Abram Room, a Russian film director, Don Diego and Pelageya by Yakov Protazanov, a Russian and Soviet film director and screenwriter; the film The Circus, a 1928 silent film written, produced, and directed by Charlie Chaplin; Khaspush, a 1928 Soviet Armenian drama and war film, directed by Hamo Beknazarian; various advertisements and film reviews. Published by publishing house Teakinopechat, 15 pages. Poor condition, spine and some pages are loose, several pages stuck together, tears, browning.
