Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #11 March 1929. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The front cover features a photograph by D. Ezersky of the barricade from the film New Babylon, produced by Leningrad studio Sovkino, directed by G. Kozintsev and L. Trauber, the back cover features a photograph by Velichko of the actor N. Simonov in the film The Son of a Fishermanproduced by Leningrad studio Sovkino, directed by A. Ivanovsky. The issue includes various advertisements; the articles about the national policy of Soviet culture; about the music by Dmitri Shostakovich, a Soviet and Russian composer, and pianist of the film New Babylon, a 1929 silent historical drama film; about film production with photographs of scenes by the photographer K Kuznecov; a film Cagliostro, a 1929 silent drama film; and others.
