Russian magazine Theatre, issue number 7, 12th February 1924. Constructivist theatre magazine first published in 1922, The issue is dedicated to 5th year anniversary of the Grand Dramatic Theatre - Bolshoy Dramaticheskyi Teatr (BDT). The magazine also has articles documenting recent theatrical releases in the Soviet Union. The front cover features a photo of the set designed by Y Annenkov for the play by A Tolstoy's 'Revolt of Machines' appearing in the Great Dramatic Theatre, on the back cover an advertisemnet for the new Sovkino release 'Chamberlain'. This edition includes articles entitled 'Purposeful Road', which speaks of the ideology of the great Dramatic Theatre. As well as other features 'Hello Andrei' and 'New Music'. List of some artwork inside: photographs from the play 'The Story of Gofman' by J Offenbach supplied by the theatre. Good condition, top left hand corer of most pages creased or folded over. Small tears and creases on the back cover. 31 pages.
