Original vintage magazine Arts et Metiers Graphiques No 20 from 15 November 1930,a luxury French bimonthly graphic art and photography magazine,established in 1927,last issued in 1939. The cover of the magazine has a bold blue background with bold black and white lettering. The issue features an article on Chateaubriand by Jaques De Lacretelle,Images of engravings,lithographs and other prints by Pascin,Emblems and mottos by Gabriele d'Anuzzi,Collotype photographs and drawings by Henri de Montheriant,Marielte Lydis,Bertrand Guegan and Paul Istel. There is a showcase of posters by J. Pecsi,Otto Kossler and Herbert Bayer. Inserts include folded reproduction of wood print 'La Crucifixion',as well as a page taken from Poesies by Gerard d'Houville and a drawing by Charlotte Meyer. 78 pages. Good condition,some signs of wear on spine and cover,tear on 'La Crucifixion' reproduction of wood print insert.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
