This richly illustrated album was dedicated to the anniversary of the Red Army. Composed without text,the issue meant by the creators as a movie book and to be read without words. Designed by El Lissitzky. In preparation of this album,Lissitzky used photographs and photomontages by G Zelmanovich,D Debabov,A Skurikhin,A Shaihet,A Polyakov and others. Published by IZOGIZ,1934. Rare first edition. 184 pages and a fold-out poster. With black and white photographs and colour illustrations throughout. Good condition. Rubbings and soiling on the hardcover,spine reinforced with the clear tape. Tears on the flyleaf. Tears on pages 1-10 reinforced with the clear tape. Pages are in good condition,minor rubbings.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
