The publication is a part of the book series Heroes of Avant-Garde,dedicated to the most influential artist of the Russian artistic Avant-garde. The book covers the life and art work of El Lissitzky. El (Lazar) Lissitzky (1980-1941) was a Soviet artist,designer,photographer,typographer,polemicist,and architect,who played an important role in the development of the Russian avant-garde and is illustrated with various images of artworks,including collaborations with Kazimir Malevich and ASNOVA,an Avant-Garde architectural association in the Soviet Union,which was active in the 1920s and early 1930s,commonly called 'the Rationalists'. El Lissitzky became its proponent in the mid-1920s,designing the one issue of the journal ASNOVA News (Izvestiia ASNOVA) in 1926. Published by publishing project Russian Avant-garde,271 pages. Very good condition,minor stain.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
