Original vintage magazine Italie Voyages Monthly Tourist Review by ENIT and State Railways published in French / Revue Touristique Mensuelle de l'ENIT et des Chemins de fer de l'Etat,February 1935 XIII,3rd Year Number 4. The cover features a painting of several colourful carnival masks covered in confetti with red lettering. The volume includes articles about Carnival on the Riviera with photographs of visitors in costumes; Alpine town Merano and activities there in winter with panoramas of the town with mountains and cathedral; winter thermal bathes in Acqui,Abano,Salsomaggiore,Civitavecchia,Agnano and Acireale; Tripolitania climate; There are big spreads with photographs of winter sports in skiing resorts Cervino (Matterhorn),Cortina d'Ampezzo,Gran Sasso d'Italia; winter sports around Rome on mountain Monte Cavo and Alban Hills; life in Abbazia in Carnaro province; a route through Italy from Brenner to Verone,Bologna,Florence and Rome. The volume includes a separate insert about Florence and The Sistine Chapel in the Vatican with a reproduction of Michelangelo's Last Judgment. Soft paperback binding,the volume consists of 20 pages. Good condition,light staining on the cover,few pages stuck together.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
