Biographical pamphlet describing life and career of Alexandra Khokhlova, a Russian actress,theatre director,writer and educator. Besides acting and directing,Khokhlova also taught a workshop at the state institute with Kuleshov. In 1935,she was named a Merited Artist of the Russian Federation. Written by V Shklovsky and S Eisenstein. Sergei Mikhailovich Eisenstein was a Soviet film director and film theorist,a pioneer in the theory and practice of montage. He is noted in particular for his silent films Strike (1925),Battleship Potemkin (1925) and October (1928),as well as the historical epics Alexander Nevsky (1938) and Ivan the Terrible (1944,1958). In its 2012 decennial poll,the magazine Sight & Sound named his Battleship Potemkin the 11th greatest movie of all time. The pamphlet contains photographs of Alexandra Khokhlova in various roles she played. Published by Kinopechat. Acceptable condition. Rubbings,minor tears on the spine and margins. What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
