Constructivist magazine Ekran,issue number 7,1927. The ‘working newspaper’. Weekly magazine on recent developments in the USSR and abroad. A photograph by P Grohovsky on the front cover. Illustrations for the story "Sender did not Believe" by K Rotov,a soviet graphic artist. Rotov,who attended the Rostov School of Art,worked for magazines (from 1923,for Krokodit) and newspapers (from 1928,for Pravda). His illustrations (mainly of children’s books) and cartoons about daily living are noted for their comic situations. Photos by B Fabisovich for the article "Theatre for the Future Citizens",P Grohovsky for the article "For Cultural Gymnastics". Fair condition,rubbings and staining. Frayed spine,pencil remarks on the front cover. 14 pages.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
