Soviet Magazine Red Field,issue number 27,1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Biweekly magazine. This issue's artwork includes illustrations by N Dormidontov for the story "Six Patches of Fog",illustrations by K Eliseev for the story "Behind the Golden Fleece". Konstantin Eliseev was a cartoonist,stage designer,costume designer,painter and graphic artist. Since the 1910s he worked in the field of magazine graphic art. In 1945 Eliseev has conferred the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic) for his services in the field of Soviet art satire. Works by Konstantin Eliseev are in many museum and private collections. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK". Poor condition. Frayed spine,detached cover,creases and tears on margins. The back cover is cropped. Prominent staining throughout the magazine. Pencil remarks on the back cover.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
