A cultural history of Moscow,written and published in the Soviet Union by State Art Publishers (Moscow and Leningrad) in 1939. A textured hard cover volume relating the city's significance to the rest of the world,particularly in its role as the capital of the Soviet Union. The book is structured by sub-headings whcih appear in capital letters thorughout the book and include titles 'Moscow Theatres The Pride of Soviet Art','A City of Complex Industries' and 'The New Moscow'. Photogrpahs accompany the writing on every page,and on the last page is a pull-out section of photographs depicting important monuments in Moscow such as 'The Rumyanstev Museum' and 'St Basil Cathedral'. Excellent condition,light chips on the spine.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
