Original vintage Soviet magazine Moskovsky Ekran Moscow Screen #14 1938. Information and repertoire film bulletin of the Moscow Regional Branch of the Film Distribution Union. The cover features a still from the film The Man with the Gun (Chelovek s ruzhyom),a 1938 Soviet history drama film directed by Sergei Yutkevich with actors Maksim Shtraukh as Vladimir Lenin and Mikheil Gelovani as Joseph Stalin. The issue features an article about the production of the film and screenwriter's and director's opinions about the film; an article about the film The Great Dawn (Velikoe Zarevo) a 1938 Soviet Georgian film directed by Mikheil Chiaureli. It is considered a representation of Joseph Stalin's cult of personality; production of the historical revolutionary film Lenin,director Mikhail Romm,accompanied by black and white photographs of the actors. Published by Moskovsky rabochij,8 pages. Poor condition,spine and pages are loose,tears,pencil marks,stain.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
