Soviet magazine New Spectator Novyi Zritel,issue number 1,1927. A theatre,film,stage and circus magazine,first published in Moscow. It contains reviews of what's on in the theatres and cinemas of Moscow. Great constructivist photo-montage cover with a film poster for a movie "Sixth Continent" by Dziga Vertov (David/Denis Kaufman; 1896-1954),a Russian Soviet pioneer documentary film and newsreel director,as well as a cinema theorist. His filming practices and theories influenced the cinéma vérité style of documentary movie-making and the Dziga Vertov Group,a radical film-making cooperative which was active from 1968 to 1972. Fair condition,missing the first page,bumps on corners,split on the bottom of the spine,soiling on covers,two small tears on the front and one on the back cover,32 pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
