Original vintage weekly Soviet magazine Rabochyi i Teatr Worker And Theatre #49 1925,dedicated to the current affairs of the theatre,cinema,music and circus. The cover features the scene from the play Grzhdanin Darnay / Citizen Darnay at the Young Spectator's Theatre. In 1926,the playwright Leonid Makariev staged A Tale of Two Cities for the Leningrad Youth Theater under the title Grzhdanin Darnay / Citizen Darnay. The issue includes articles on the role of theater critics; the career of Otto Klemperer,German-born orchestral conductor and composer; Iosif Schwartz concert,Yudif Serov,broadcasting of theatrical productions on the radio,reviews of various theatrical productions,and a weekly movie review. Published by the publishing house Leningradskij Gublit,printed by Krasnaja Gazeta with a run of copies 18 000. 33 pages. Poor condition,some pages are cut out,tears on the spine and cover edges,browning.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
