Soviet weekly magazine Red Field,issue №39,20 Dec 1930. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Constructivist cover by V. Kulagina,Russian Soviet painter,book and poster designer. She was a central figure in constructivist avant-garde. She is known for the Soviet revolutionary and Stalinist propaganda she produced in collaboration with her husband Gustav Klutsis. Cover design is dedicated to 1 May,International Worker's Day. Illustrated by B. Zenkevich,Russian and Soviet graphic artist,painter; engraver and lithographer; E. Zernova, painter,book illustrator,poster artist,monumental artist; Deni,Russian satirist,cartoonist and poster artist. Deni was one of the major agitprop poster artists of the Bolshevist period. V. Perelman,Soviet painter .He painted portraits and industrial theme paintings. This issue contains essay "Into the white sea for seals" and paintings by V. Belyaev,Russian and Ukrainian Soviet writer,screenwriter,playwright,journalist and publicist. Article "Baku" by A. Lunachevsky,Russian revolutionary,Soviet statesman,writer,translator,publicist,critic; "Soviet diary","International review","Night sowing" by L. Pasunkova,Soviet writer. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK". Poor condition,missing material on the spine and on the margins,tears on the spine and on the margins. Covers partially detached. Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
