Soviet Magazine Red Field,issue number 22,26th May 1929. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A bucolic painting on the front cover entitled 'Wood' by Vacentsov,a bold advertisement for the pencil factory Dessin on the back cover. This edition includes articles 'Ten Years of Soviet Books' and 'Golden Hands',a feature on towns in the Steppes. List of some artwork inside: the article 'Golden Hands' is accompanied by a painting entitled 'Red Square in the 17th Century' by Vacentsov; modern graphics by A Kravchenko entitled 'Two Worlds','Kindergarten on a walk','Dirty Barge' and 'Old Villages'. Fair condition,spine slightly frayed,indents through the magazine where it has attempted to be hole-punched,some discolouration, trimmed along margins. 22 pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
