Soviet weekly magazine Red Field,issue №10,30 March 1930. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Constructivist cover has painting "At the construction site of new workshops" by A. Deyneka,Soviet painter,monumentalist and graphic artist,teacher,professor. People's Artist of the USSR. Illustrations are by G. Nissky,Soviet painter,considered the founder of the so-called severe style,the master of the industrial landscape. People’s Artist of the RSFSR. As well as by A. Laptev,Soviet graphic artist and book illustrator,poet. Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. This issue contains story "Terentich" written by N. Smirnov,Soviet Russian prose writer,poet and critic; story "Sailor" by V. Lidin,Russian fiction writer and memoirist; article "Second congress of anti-imperialist league",essay "After Kharbinsk raid" by V. Semenov,article "International week","On Donbass","On the paths of the creativity of the masses" by L. Polonskaya. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK". Poor condition,rusty staples,tears and loss of material on the spine and on margins. Dusting and staining. Pen handwriting and cancelled library stamps on the back cover. Was part of bound yearly volume. Part of page 11,19,21 are missing,deep cut on the page 13. 24 pages.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
