This issue contains article "About Komsomol",dedicated to 10 year anniversary of VlKSM,written by G. Ryklin,Soviet writer and journalist,satirist; "Mikhail Nikolaevich Pokrovsky" by V. Friche,Russian and Soviet literary critic-Marxist and teacher,academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Story "People of the past" by M. Barsukov,illustrated by K. Eliseev,Russian Soviet graphic artist and theatre and film artist. Article "I.I. Skvortsov-Stepanov. One of many." that talks about late Skvortsov-Stepanov,Soviet statesman and party leader,historian,economist. One of the oldest participants in the Russian revolutionary movement and a Marxist writer. Essay "House of Unions" by I. Ashukin,Russian poet,literary critic,literary critic and historian of literature. Illustrations are by B. Zenkevich,Russian and Soviet graphic artist,painter,engraver and lithographer; as well ad Yu. Pimenov,Russian and Soviet painter,theatre designer,master of the Soviet advertising poster,essay writer. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK",110 000 copies. Poor condition,cover is detached. Staples are missing. Was part of bound yearly volume. Tears and loss of material on the spine and on margins. Dusting,rubbings and staining. Cancelled library stamp on the back cover. Pencil handwriting on the last page. 24 pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
