Original vintage Soviet constructivist magazine Red Field Krasnaya Niva,issue number 12,1927. Biweekly magazine,first published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. The cover features the drawing by R. Frentz "Defenders of the Paris Commune". The issue includes articles about events abroad,such as the arrival of British troops in Shanghai and the events in Hankow that were considered to start the Chinese Civil War; the Paris Commune and the execution of the Communards,members,and supporters of the short-lived 1871 Paris Commune formed in the wake of the French defeat in the Franco-Prussian War; the anniversary of the death of Dmitry Furmanov,a Russian writer,revolutionary and military officer; elections to the Mossoviet,Moscow City Council,a journey in an aerosani; the art of the USSR at an exhibition Monza Biennial III in Milan; several stories and advertising,accompanied by drawings and photographs by V Bekhteev,Y Annenkov,F Masereel,S Malutin,K Eliseev,Y Pimenov. Published by Glavlit,24 pages. Poor condition,pages and spine are loose,tears,browning.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
