Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen is weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. Cover depicts a photomontage of Sergei Eisenstein,Soviet film director and film theorist,a pioneer in the theory and practice of montage. Magazine has short depiction of Sergei Eisenstein's career and process of shooting "Battleship Potyomkin". As well ad article and stills from "Minaret of death",movie directed by V. Viskovsky, Russian and Soviet director,screenwriter and theatre and film actor. Based on the Bukhara legend of the XVI century. And article about "Jewish Happiness",1925 Soviet film,based on the stories of Sholom-Aleichem and directed by Alexis Granowsky,Russian theatre director who later became a film director. Illustrated by M Sinyakova and S Yutkevich. Published by Kinopechat,80 000 copies. Poor condition,tears and loss of material on the spine and on the margins. Spine reinforced with white tape. Staining. 14 pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
