Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #39 September 1928. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The back and front cover feature stills from the film The White Eagle (Belyy oryol),a 1928 Soviet silent drama film directed by Yakov Protazanov and starring Vasili Kachalov,Anna Sten and Vsevolod Meyerhold. Set in Tsarist times,it is based on the play The Governor by Leonid Andreyev. The issue includes articles about Mezhrabpomfilm,was a German-Russian film studio,formerly Mezhrabpom-Rus,from 1922-1936; portrait of V. Meyerhold; pre-revolutionary cinematography; portrait of Anna Sten,Ukrainian-born American actress. She began her career in stage plays and films in the Soviet Union; production of The White Eagle film with photographs by A. Orlova; using hypnosis in filming. Published by publishing house Teakinopechat,15 pages. Poor condition,cover and some pages are loose,tears,browning.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
