USSR in Construction was a constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR,published in Russian,French,English,and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This edition celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Azerbaijan oil industry,featuring photos by M Alpert and G Petrusov,and composition by El Lissitzky. A great issue with a large selection of photographs of workers drilling for oil,oil refineries etc. Includes a graphic showing the growth in oil output and a geographical map of Azerbaijan. Poor condition,covers detached with creasing,paper skimming,tears and paper losses. Inside pages in good condition,minor staining and paper losses.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
