Soviet Constructivist magazine Worker and Theatre,issue number 7,1st,1925. A weekly magazine giving updates about theatre,film music,radio and stage. First published in 1923,edited in Leningrad. A photograph of the Lenningrad United Workers Choir on the front cover,an advertisement for the novel 'Child of the Market' on the back cover. This edition includes articles entitled 'Trade Unions and Working Theatre' and 'On the Road Closer to Theatre'. There is also a section 'Living Gazette' which includes features 'Radio-Movie Screen' and the new production 'Machine'. List of some artwork inside: a drawing of Richard Wagner; a photograph from Act III of the play 'When the Sleeping Wake Up'; and photographs from the workers film studio 'Proletkino''s new film 'From the Sparks- Flame'. Good condition,edges of pages frayed. 32 pages.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
